Malicious Wounding at Union Jack in Arlington (Ballston) – April 6, 2013

Arlington Police report that four men were arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding on April 6, 2013.  The men were allegedly involved in a fight wherein a fifth man was stabbed 7 times in his torso, upper body, groin, and thigh area.  The fight was reported to have occurred in front of Union Jack restaurant in the Ballston Commons Mall around midnight.

The accused are David Bhatti, Heber Amaya-Gallo, Gustavo Lopez, and Naveed Mughal.  This blog will follow up to report on the disposition of these cases.

Union Jack has seen a lot of police activity recently.  A man shot himself to death outside the restaurant on April 4 at 1:00 a.m.  And, on February 8, an altercation inside the bar spilled outside and two groups allegedly began fighting.  One man was treated at the hospital for bleeding on the brain (subdural hematoma); a woman was treated for cuts to her face.  Two people were arrested — Kevin Gutierrez and Ebony Hunter.  Both have been released on bail pending trial.
